We help schools, businesses, and non-profit organizations participate in a focused recycling effort by organizing the collection of empty ink-jet and laser printer cartridges for further remanufacture and recycling. |

Did You Know ...
- Every year over 400 million cartridges are discarded into our nation's landfills with a combined weight of 200 million pounds.
- A laser cartridge discarded today will take over 1000 years to decompose.
- Manufacturing a new laser cartridge typically requires three and a half-quarts of oil - a non-renewable fossil fuel. In comparison, a remanufactured laser cartridge only uses a quart and a half of oil.
At Centralized Office Supply we realize that we can't solve the entire recycling issue, but we can make a difference with your help. Each empty ink jet and laser toner cartridge that we recycle back into circulation decreases the amount of solid waste that is put into our landfills. It also reduces the amount of limited natural resources required to produce new cartridges.
That is why Centralized Office Supply has designed our recycling program to be beneficial to you and the environment both today and well into the future. Our program is also free. We pay for the collection materials and shipping. Best of all, you are rewarded with cash for each acceptable empty cartridge that we receive from your organization. |

Why Recycle with COS
What sets Centralized Office Supply apart from other printer cartridge collectors is that through our partnership with our remanufacturer, we accept all empty printer cartridges. We ensure that every cartridge that can be remanufactured will be. And, the cartridges that cannot be remanufactured will be recycled for use in other consumer products. We also take great pride in the fact that the cartridges we collect are remanufactured and resold by such leading retailers as Office Max, Staples, and Wal-Mart.
Centralized Office Supply is also uniquely qualified to coordinate a large scale recycling effort and to ensure that collections are properly accounted for and credited to the proper individual recycler. All materials are specifically bar-coded for your organization and can be as specific as you like. |

 |
The Process is Simple
- Determine the appropriate recycling materials and the best location for them.
- Fill the collection bins with the empty ink-jet and laser toner cartridges and return them to us-prepaid by calling Fed-Ex at (888) 777-6040.
- Once Centralized Office Supply receives your box of empty cartridges, new materials will be sent to you automatically.
- Every month, we create a status report for your organization, which details the number of acceptable cartridges that you have returned for recycling. At that time, we produce a check for the appropriate amount to your organization or to whomever you designate.
